													Activity of the research group:
The main research fields of the Group are high voltage and high current technology, live-line maintenance, electrical insulation technology and diagnostics, electrostatics, lightning and lightning protection research, overvoltage and EMC, electric thermal engineering, use of intelligent robots, research in industrial electrostatic hazards, study of the application of environmental-friendly electrical technologies, electrical safety technologies, building electrification, lighting technology, electrical switchgear and equipment, and modern asset management.
Recent results:
 	- Development of diagnostic methods for nuclear power plant control cables based on dielectric spectroscopy.
- Development of diagnostics and asset management for medium-voltage underground cables, overhead lines, and transformers.
- Research on the applicability of natural ester-based insulating liquids as a replacement for mineral oil in high-voltage transformers.
- Diagnostics using partial discharges measured in the UHF range (increasing positioning accuracy).
- Development of calculations for lightning protection of wind and solar power plants.
- Investigation of electrical properties of nanocomposite / composite insulation materials
- Development of new equipment and technologies for live-line work
- Development of new methods and tools for live-line maintenance
- Development of an expert system for dynamic line rating
